Maybe it's just because I found my stash of coloured paper, but it'd be really cool to have some foldy foldy peoples pictures and maybe some how to's... oragami is something I adore but am hopeless at- I'm just not exact!

I am SO addicted to folding those little stars- you get these packages with strips of paper, fold the paper around and around in a pentagon shape, tuck the ends, pinch the sides, and you come out with these cute stars. I'VE DONE 100'S! I CAN'T STOP! and cranes, and flowers, and waterbombs, and and and.....I think I need to put the paper away for a while

I LOVE Origami, I got hooked when I was a little kid, like 8 or 9 little. My folks bought me a book with some in and I went from there. My favorite one to make is a strawberry that you blow in to inflate!
I'm not sure an Origami section would be needed, but I think a thread is a great idea! I'll have to get some photos of the dragon I can make, it's the only design I ever came up with myself. I also have some sites some where with instructions on how to fold a Totoro, and Godzilla!

That first one is the one I did. I got compleatly stuck on it several times. I'll have to sit down with it again and see if I can re-work it out.

I got stuck on origami when a Japanese exchange student came and taught our 4th grade class. She was so pretty, the paper was pretty...and of course being a little girl, I liked everything pretty hehe
It usually takes me a few good tries to figure out some pieces; like the water lilies. I can not figure the more advanced ones out

I use them for so many things, and since they're so super easy to fold I put them in presents all the time. People always want to know where you get the cute little puffy stars

look up jong ie nara (sp?) They're korean and have lots of the star paper. A good pick too is scrapbooking vellums. If you can get a good cut going, you can make some beautiful stars with that kind of paper

i quite like the idea of recycling to make them- especially since you dont know exactly how they will turn out!

I had a ton of jewery made out of them at one point, but I'm not sure where they ended up? I was going to put them on the site, but after the cherry blossom festival in April, my whole stash went missing!

At work I have a description to make a origami-geisha, very cute, with obi and all! I tried to make it but I guess origami is not my thing...
I'll try to find it tomorrow and I'll post it here!
