is her stuff any good? whats it about? i work in a bookstore, and i've seen lots of people buy/ask for danse macabre. i've been thinking of picking it up--the cover is intriguing!

ooo yes please!
I've read Kelley Armstrong, and some of another person who writes about inderlanders (Kim Harrison), but I'm always on the look out!
understatement I know, but I wasnt sure what was allowable to write!

I'd start at the begining (the books generally have numbers on the spine) and work your way through- theres a lot of continuing stuff that you'll understand better if you start at 1! :)

i have danse macabre sitting right here in front of me, cant wait to start it! eeee!
i read the kelley armstrong and kim harrison ones as well. i just finished the new kim harrison one, and it was really good.
anyways, some similar authors i like:
charlaine harris(the southern vampire series)
patricia briggs(moon called)
carrie vaughn(kitty norville series)
minda webber
katie mcalister
lori handeland
mind you some of these are in the romance section, but theyre all about supernatural characters. none i've found are as racy as the laurell k hamilton ones.

heeheehee
I'm about 200-300 pages in now and I'm loving the sex (though i was reading it at the gym and blushed a little!)
I dont know about the baby- I suspect she will carry it to term- but what will it be, and how will she cope- Richard is being such an ass- him and nathaneil are bound to come to heavy blows about it I'm sure!

im done, i finished last night.
i felt like the end of this book was a bit anticlimatic. anita has too many crazy things happening to her personally(like the ardeur) that it almost gets confusing. i kind of miss when she just did the necromancer thing all the time.

They sound interesting... I always look at them when I go to the bookstore, but they don't really seem like my type. I'm more of a medieval fantasy type, with more battles than sex, but I also like dark stories, so I've thought about picking up one of Hamilton's.

They start off a bit more tame sexually, so you may enjoy the first ones a bit more. They have some amazing "action" parts too, so it's not all sex. Have you read Kelley Armstrong or Kim Harrison or Tanya Huff? Those have less sex in them.
I'm opposite you, I don't like the medieval type books. I would love a recommendation though, I always am willing to try something new.

I used to really really like the Anita Blake series, but lately... I suppose they seem rather weak to me now, especially the newer volumes. I still have a soft spot for characters like Jean Claude, Jason, and Edward. But... I dunno. I haven't read much past Cerulean Sins. I should probably give it another shot >_>

Has anyone read the series about Meredith Gentry? It's really good!I just finished Mistral's Kiss and I'm not sure what comes after it...

I read the first book of the Meredith Gentry, and also the second... I think... I think the Anita Blake series were more up my alley. Not sure if I want to pick it up again, I might someday. But of the characters, I think I might have liked Sholto the best.

I have to agree with Bemused-Dreamer
The Anita Blake series have weakened a bit. I mean I used to be glued to them but now I won't pick it back up again x.x -Dreamy sigh.- Jean Claude still is awesome... ;) ha ha ha ha
Sorry maybe I'll pick up Meredith Gentry and give it a read... who knows it might get me again..
