Hi everyone!
:)

I've never tried to go on a diet,
generally I'm average weight~
(not sure what it is now, haha,
but I'm around 5'1 with a "24.5 waist and "33.5 hips and chest)
But always feel I'm a weird weight~

Now I'm looking to diet.
I was thinking just small portions would be work~
and, well, what if I cutsied them up too?!

I've made bunny apple slices,
and shape cut-outs of things like pizza and whatnot~
It's fun to do and fun to eat n_n

So I'm looking for suggestions or any kind,
what kinds of food,
how to cut them,
ect.

And I'll put up new ideas here too! :yum:

Sometime soon I want to get a cute bento box too n_n
So when I'm at school I won't need to eat too much.

It's a good idea, but you don't sound like you need to diet! A 24" waist sounds great to me D:

As for diets~ I try to eat a lot more soy ;~; Also, between meals I try to drink more tea (but that doesn't help because I take my tea with milk and honey /)_(\;;; ) so I eat less.

keloid.miruku- It sounds small,
but not on me ;3;
I'm really short and stout~

Never had soy...
Too scared to try it >o<
I drink a lot of tea,
but only Arizona Green Tea.
I know green tea is good for you,
but not sure if a brand kind like that is though~

No way! Your taller than me and at about 26" I start to look pretty narrow. I was 24" once a long time ago (and now 26" was a long time ago too)

I don't think you are as stout as you might think

Vivien- Haha, are you really?!
I always thought you were, like, 5"4 or something.
Awww n_n! How cute!

My shoulders are really broad too~
Like, "36, which annoys me.
(wah, hourglass here)

Hmm, I guess we'll just have to hang out and see!
;D
Hehe.

I'm 5'4" in heels! I'm actually bang on 5'0" I'm reeeealy tiny hight wise I get rather self conscious about my shoulders too, but they do help offset a tiny waist!

Vivien- Hehehe n_n
Yes, my mother has been telling me since I was little
that if I didn't have broad shoulders,
that I would have a wonky shape.
But they are just so annoying!

I remember reading somewhere that you wear corsets also?
I'm really interesting in finding a good shaping corset for myself,
but at a fairly reasonable price~

I love my corsets! I have a thing for historically inspired fashion for when I want to dress up, and they give it all the perfect shape. There are a lot of good custom corset makers (http://community.livejournal.com/corsetmakers/35506.html) out there, it's never cheap, but all you want is an underbust if it's for shaping and they tend to be a lot less than the full over bust ones.

I started making all my own (working on number 4 right now) a basic cosrset if you have a sewing machine isn't as hard as you might think to make you can even get some pretty good patterns at your local Joanns! (except this 18th century job I'm working on, that's turning into a really pain to sew)

Check out Corset Makers (http://community.livejournal.com/corsetmakers/) on LJ they have a lot of good advice.

Vivien- Oh yeah,
I saw one of the underbust ones you made,
it was just perfect!
Big fan of corsets here too.
I will deffinatly look into these links <3
LJ is rather scary to me actually, haha,
I've no idea how to navagate it or anything.
Even though I've got one or two myself,
I never post anything in them.
(Although perhaps I should..)

Bah~ actually we don't have a sewing machine here,
yeah.. all of my doll clothes are hand sewn.
So doing a corset in that fashion would
most likely be rather hard~
Haha.
Hopefully in the future though!

Thanks cutie!
:)

Funny note,
Currently I've got an apple and knife with me,
so I'm nibbling away on some apple bunnies!
(not hungry at all, but havn't eaten for 5 hours)

*edit
Ah, would you ever think of beginning to sell corsets youself?
I just can't seem to find one that is right,
and your stuff is all kinds of right, haha.

Probably not, If I did them at a fatory they wouldn't have the same kind of fit as the custom ones I make for myself, but for decorative purposes they might be nice. I don't sell any custom made items though, and taking corset comissions would be impossible to do (takes to much time)

Hee, we have pretty much the same measurements! I'm 5'5", though, so I look really scrawny. I've got the shoulders too! I didn't start noticing them until really recently, actually.

Green tea is definitely a good idea. I don't drink Arizona green tea anymore, but I recall it having a TON of sugar (even though it's sweetened with honey). Also, the nutritional value of it (and the amount of antioxidants) depends largely on what kind of tea you're drinking. I recommend organic, looseleaf green tea. It does wonders for your complexion. Try it with a little bit of lemon.

Vivien- Aw, thats completely understandable.
Decorative ones would be nifty also.
What about doing one.. for meee~?
*puppy-dog eyes*
Hehe, just kidding <3
I'll go and find the right one for me,
it has to be out there somewhere!

gluegungeisha- Tall people... ;3;
Bah, wide shoulders *shakes fist*
For taller people it probably looks less unusual~

Haha, I imagine it does have a ton of sugar!
Most of my tea I kill by putting tons of sugar in it -
but, erm, it's not sugar, it's the little pink and blue
packages of... something...
Don't do splenda though.
Next time I make tea I will deffinatly try it plain!

Aw, your idea sounds so cute, but I'll jump on the bandwagon by saying you don't need to diet. You and Viv sound so cuuuttteee! I wish I were shorter. I'm 5'6", and have a 26" waist, but I'm still not comfortable in my own skin at all.

But let me advertise here: Candy Violet worked wonders on my figure! I don't think my waist is very small, but the high-waisted skirts at Candy Violet, when paired with the fluffy petticoat, made me look so petite! I was so ecstatic when I tried it on. //end ad//

Anyways, I was looking for healthy ways to keep what I eat in check, too. Because now that shcool's started again, I'm not excercizing as often, so I get nervous. Maybe I'll try and help you find some cute little food tricks, too! :D

Gosh, I wish I had a 33" bust/hips and 24" waist... o-o *jealous*

anywho.

You could cut a flower or something with a cookie cutter {or just with scissors} out of a PB&J sandwhich ^w^

I'm 5"5" with a 26" waist so I dont think too much on dieting, but sometimes I feel like my thighs are big and I cut down on my meal size(doens't bother me though) >////< cause even though my waist is 26" my hips are 38" and it kind off sets my body(in my opinion) plus my legs are long.

Something cute to eat-
Go to the kids snacks section in your super market and get some of those little cups of diced peaches, their sweet, yummy, and healthy :D
Also you could try getting a little hello kitty 1 tierce[sp?] to hold some salad ^__^

hope I helped~♥

Man... I'm 5' 8" with a 28" waist...

I'm vegetarian, so that already cuts out a lot of calories. I make pure vegetable & fruit bento a lot, which is a great way to get good, healthy food in a fun package. Cutting fruit with cookie cutters is great, plus I have special vegetable cutters from Japan which I use to make amazing elaborate fish and butterflies out of radish and carrot. I'm sort of obsessive about eating healthy, so things like miniature wraps with whole wheat tortillas, tomato, low fat cream cheese, and lettuce are great to me, or fake turkey on whole grain toast cut into flowers. I used to sell my bento, so I got good at making pretty much any food cute by smart use of cookie cutters and a sharp knife. It's pretty easy once you get the hang of it.

My mother was a dietician before she went back to medical school, and now she teaches a cooking class called "Low Fat and Fabulous". It's all vegetarian, but I can get free recipes with calorie counts for anyone who wants them. Just give me a vegetable or other food to work with, and I can find some corresponding recipes...

You don't need to diet. Just work out more and your body will tone up. The way it sounds, I'm 95% positive that your measurements will not change no matter how much you diet or work out; you can't change the bone structure that lies underneath your skin. Don't worry too much about what to eat and instead focus on exercise, then you can build muscle and tighten up.

Arizona green tea is not good for you, a lot of added sugar, among other things. The only 100% healthful tea is just plain old tea, not sugary bottled drinks.

My eating guidelines are basically: No fried food, no white grains, limited red meat, limited cheese/butter/higher-fat dairy products. I'm not really crazy about dieting but eating this way just makes me feel better overall.

Diet = what you eat.
Good or bad, healthy or not.

You can't change the frame and natural build of your body, but you can change your composition (how your fat and muscle is distributed) by eating well and working out. I'm naturally skinny, but I know that when I let myself get too lazy, I gain fat over my hips and lose the athletic curve on my bum.

Dieting doesn't necessarily mean crashing your metabolism and challenging your health with crazy eating plans that can screw with the natural . It can be as simple as cutting out processed foods, eating more veggies and less refined carbs and sugars, replacing saturated fats with healthy fats, etc.

Exactly ^^ Gluegun we have similar body types. Heheh, it's true...when I get lazy I feel a bit of fat added to my stomach region (beer belly because I know that's what causes it, lol) and my thighs.

The only thing that frustrates me is that I'm having major trouble toning up that fat that hangs on your upper arms..you know the spot I'm talking about. Do you work out your arms? I've been doing tricep curls and it hasn't been showing much in the way of visible results. If anyone here knows good arm exercises I'm all ears.

I'm alot shorter than you and my measurements are bigger that that, and my doctor says I need to start eating more. I really couln't imagine being thinner than I am, it just seems so unhealthy to me. Maybe instead of dieting you should look into buying a good corset if you want waist reduction. It also takes less time to lace a corset than drop pound of needed body fat.

Is your mom ok?!!

I'm also on a diet. I lost 12 lbs. I like to eat whole wheat pita with griled zuccini and red peppers add some lettuce and what ever else you want. :yum:

No, Splenda doesn't cause it's made from sugar, not from chemicals. She's fine now and cancer free. We think she got Hogkin's Lymphoma from eating Sweet and Low cuse it doesn't run in the family or anything. *shrugs*

Hehe, yay us!

I do planks and push-ups for my arms (my derby coach makes us, because a lot of skaters have muscular legs and arms like babies!). If you have a climbing gym nearby and a friend who would want to go with you, that's a really good workout for your arms. Boxing rocks, if you're up to it. Weights are really good for that too...and for toning anything, really. The whole "bulking up" idea is a myth -- women don't bulk up unless they're on steroids or testosterone (!!!).

Here's a really good, empowering site about women and weights:

Mmhmm!
Honey is the best. Aside from tasting amazing, it has a lot of antioxidants (that's why it never spoils in your pantry) and antibacterial properties (you can use it as a face mask with yogurt!). :D
