Today at work during break I was making fun of a kid who had to go take a drug test before he got hired (he's a temp now) An older lady that works there says "Yeah! I hope you haven't been smoking the pole!"
I really don't think she know what she said even though I was laughing hysterically- I'm fairly sure she meant pot. At least I hope so

That's FUNNNEEEEEEE!
I just heard that expression for the first time like 3 months ago. It's funny when people use slang and have the totally wrong idea...

Ha, silly old coot doesn't know proper slang!
There was a similar improper use of slang on a McDonald's ad poster several month ago, of a guy holding a cheeseburger with the captions that read: "I'd hit that!". The message translates to "I want to fuck a cheeseburger!" There was a commercial based off of that poster ad of two guys hanging out, who talk about how they want to "hit it with their mouth." Hwuuh???
That's McDonald's poor attempt to become more "street-oriented."

Hahaha thats the greatest thing ever! It's nice when some one is being so rude that the joke lands squarely on them.

hehehe glad you all enjoyed. She is always saying things that get her into trouble, but that's better than being a dull hag. I love that mcdonalds ad though- what in the hell were they thinking?? Can't you imagine a bunch of 50-60 yr old corp fellas sitting around a table discussing this "Yes, well I saw a young fellow the other day saying he'd like to "hit that"...pretty "cool" sounding don't you think?"
