Seeing as I've almost completelt disowned the english speaking music front for lack of originality and perpetual repitition, I thought I'd share one of my non-english favourites with you all.
I don't know much about Louise Attaque, except that his style entrances me, and his songs are so visual in splendor, even if you don't know what he's saying! I wish I knew the english translations, so badly!
He's a French Rocker, and very, very popular right now, I imagine. A lot of his songs sound Lolita-style. He also has a song called "Shibuya Station"-- guess where he recorded that! :D
Here's my favourites by him! The CD is so much better sounding then the videos, so try looking for it on Amazon or eBay!
My favourite song is "La Traversee du Desert/Revolver", but I can't find a video. :(
Song Clip, "See You Later Alligator" (http://www.mcm.net/musique/player/24612/)
Video, "L'Intranquilite" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ySaPTHzkUUM&mode=related&search=)
Video, "Si C'etait Hier" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zoI7mjN-EII&mode=related&search=)
Video, "Lea" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d1iodYSW7Ng&mode=related&search=)

I've never heard of him before but he has very good music. It is very classical sounding but also modern because of the drums and guitar. It's such happy music! I think a lot of songs in French sound lolita ish because it is such a pretty and romantic language. This one especially because it is so delicate and happy... I like most french music I've heard because it is such a pretty and musical language, but French rap is terrible!
Listening to French always makes me wish I knew the language...

I've never heard him before now, but I like it! Ever listened to Vanessa Paradis? It's a little poppy but I love her voice ;)

French really is an incredible language. If anyone's looking for a pen-pal to correspond in French with, i'm your girl ;)

Aw, really? What year of French are you? I just started my third year this semester. (By the way, when/if anyone takes ballet, French is really fun to know! It helps me remember to "plie" my "jambes"! :D ) *dork*
I'm glad you like it, Viv. "See You Later Alligator" is my favourite under "Revolver"... but I still can't find Revolver on the web. :(
Vanessa Paradis? I know I've heard her name somewhere before. I'll look her up right now! :D

Lavendre- I'm at the intermediate level in college, and I spent almost a month in France this summer with host families.
loli-dolly- Yeah, she is married to Johnny Depp. But yeah, I used to work in this French cafe and we played her all the time. I got totally hooked :D
