Pixel Dolls {Join Me! Make Your Own!}

Umm, hello there! Lately I've gotten back into dolling. You know, making little pixel dolls. Well I wanted to show some of mine off here, and thought, Hey! Maybe other people wanna show off their dollies, too! And it's also a good way for me to spread the word of dollz. I made a little form to post with your dollz, but you can add to it or subtract from it, too. I thought people can post their dollz, then other people can comment on them, and post their own, too! Onto the dollies!!

What I Think: I think she's cute!! I changed her hair from purple to brown to 10+ shades of blonde before settling on this color, and you can't even see my shading! So I dont like the hair. But I love the cute cherry-socks!! <3

What I Think: I love her! The base was just so cute I couldn't resist, and as I was doing the skirt, I thought "Wow! I could make a Candy Viloet dress!" And so I did. The shoes are from BTSSB, though. I know the skirt doesn't exactly look like the classical set, but it's difficult to do in pixels and I'm still really in love with it. Valerie's so cute <3

I always wanted to make a pixel doll, but I always just used the easier dollmakers like the Candy Dollmakers. I can't really do anything since I have MS paint and it requires some smanzy panzy software so It sucks. :mad:

Whoa, whoa, whoa. I do dollz in paint as much as I use photoshop!! MSpaint ROCKS for pixel stuff!! <3 The only reason I use Photoshop is because it has the layers option (I'm a layers fiend) and it can save transparent .gifs. But actually, paint is much easier to use. Go on now! Go make some dollies!!! <3

Any tips on HOW to do it? I'm having trouble with about everything I do.

As far as I know, you open a doll base in Photoshop or paint (or start from scratch, whatever) and then painstakingly add in the clothes and details. Start with the base color and then add one or multiple highlights and shadows to round it out, more or less pixel-by-pixel. I'm sure if you search you could find a ton of tutorials.
