Victorian Style Ornamental Mats

The Victorians used to pretty much decorated everything, and one things they used a lot to add decoration (as well as protects furniture) were little ornamental mats! They used to put these things under everything, lamps, vases etc.

This weekend, based on an old Victorian craft project, I made my own Lolita version of these mats out of ribbon!

those are so frilly! o.o ha ha. i might try making one for my DS so people know it's important XD
