Even though my Angel of Dream BJD hasn't arrived yet to model these pieces, I wanted to share some of my finished sewing work.

These were made from free patterns I found on the web. The Alice dress was meant to have velcro, I think, but I changed the design to lace up like a corset. Both outfits are made from cotton, with an estimated three hours each piece.

The hardest part about the Alice dress was the puffed sleeves! I had to enlist my mother's help sewing the elastic, but I'm proud that I did the rest myself. The yukata was straightforward, though. I love both products! Don't you? ;)

In the meantime, I apologize for image quality.

Holy crap, you're sewing is remarkable! O.O

I love the Alice dress the best, but the Yukata is pretty also.
It'll look very elegent on you're doll!

Sewing's sort of imbedded in my genes, I think. My mum's college degree is in fashion design, even though she never really uses it... but I've been around sewing all my life. Ever since I was one, my mum would stay up all hours of the night sewing Halloween costumes and whatnot. So even though I'm self taught, I pick up my interest in it from her. :)

Like I said, tell me when you pick out a doll, and I'll make you something cute. *hands you the redeemable coupon*

I love the yukata! What sort of obi do you plan to use with it? (I sew SD kimono myself, and am interested in other peoples' designs.)

Hmm... I've actually been pondering that myself. I think I'm just going to cut another long rectangle, double it over, and hem it in, so I can use it like a simple tie-sash or something. My yukata's like that; the one that's like, people sized I mean. :)

I'm still not sure, yet. What would you do?

I love the Alice dress because it's Alice themed and punky yet cute and adorable at the same time.

I love the yukata because it's so nice and simple do you won't get distracted from the pretty pattern and the lines are very nicely sewn :)
