I was wondering if there was anyone else out there that liked sewing clothing for their Ball Jointed Dolls. Mine is 44cm tall, or Mini Super Dollfie sized. I've been finding free patterns online, including one for an adorable Alice dress, complete with a corseted back and full skirt.

The Alice Dress for MSD (http://www.denofangels.com/patterns/james/msd%20alice%20dress/)

After that, I'm going to try and attempt a hoodie.

Anyone else sew, or have patterns to share? I'm particularly looking for an MSD sized Kimono pattern right now, to use some extra brocade on.

Hehe, I'll have to save that Alice pattern! <3

Have you been to Undead Threads (http://undeadthreads.com) yet? They have a lot of patterns, but most are for SD, so you could always scale them down in a program such as Photoshop or something. I'm pretty sure they have a kimono one.

Looks like you already found DOA's patterns. They have a bunch :)

Oh, and in case you don't already know, when sewing bottoms of any kind (especially pants) for a DZ doll, make sure you lengthen them a bit, because DZ's have longer legs than most minis do.

Thanks for the heads-up, Cherry-Chan. (Teehee, your name is so cute, with a "chan", if you don't mind me saying so...)

I love the bodice for the Alice Dress. I got the mini eyelets and the tool to put them in today.

The colour scheme for the alice dress I'm making:

Main Body: Hot Pink/Purple/Black plaid, with black ribbon for the corseted bodice
Collar/Puff Sleeves: Hot Pink Cotton

I'll post piccies, when I finish it. ^^ Yeah, DOA has an awesome pattern section.

Hehe, awesome!! <3 Lol I mean DZ-sized in my last post, I was just being lazy, since your Leo-chan (teehee ^^) is the same height as my Kamari-chan. :D

^^;;; Wow, I have a lot of things.....
In chronological order:

http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d120/nejimaki_ningyo/Kimono04.jpg

The first kimono that mum and I sewed; so Akina (my Volks Megu) could wear it to the Memoirs of a Geisha premiere. We continue to get a lot of positive comments on it *-*;;

http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d120/nejimaki_ningyo/FM50.jpg

A yukata, and one of my personal favourites.

http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d120/nejimaki_ningyo/snow07.jpg

Mum sewed this one while I was away; the first shirred-bust dress that she did.

http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d120/nejimaki_ningyo/wigs01.jpg

My Tanning El, Amel. ^^ Wearing a sweatshirt prototype and an eyelash yarn chacha skirt xD (His plushie was sewn by my dear friend m15tr355)

Your dollie is so amazingly precious! How tall is she?

Also, I DIED when I saw that strawberry-print yukata. It's so cute and pretty! Wherever did you find fabric like that?

I made the hat; mum sewed the dress. The petticoat, however, I bought on eBay.

http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d120/nejimaki_ningyo/pants06.jpg

Some pants for Amel.

Him in the second kimono we sewed - I didn't make the corset for the obi, though!

And, of course, the strawberry dress. ;w;

(psst, my mum and I take reasonably-priced comissions - *bricked* XD)

Oh, thank you! ;w;!! She's a 60-cm Super Dollfie.

I died when I saw it too - I wanted to get the entire bolt of fabric at Jo-Ann's, but I could only afford two yards. I haven't been able to find it since :(

That's too bad. Anyway, the outcome was beautiful; you even got two outfits out of it. ^^

I've sewn only a few things for my dollies, nothing I really liked too much. I want to start a small business just sewing dolly clothes. I'll try to post some of my stuff later!

Do you think these patterns will work for my Terra?
I don't know if she's tiny enough, being a Barbie (eww.....) sized doll and all.
And Keloid.Miruku, I just LOVE you're outfits for you're dolls. =D

I'm pretty sure you can reduce the patterns so that they can work on your Terra. I know there is some program out their for free...I can't think of it though >_< I know there has to be alot of barbie sized patterns out there! :D

Of coarse Barbie patterns will work!

The reverse is true, as well, that if you cut your fabric slightly larger than the Barbie patterns, then they will fit 44cm dolls.

Oh, and I've been wanting to start selling clothes for 44cm BJDs. I can't commit to full-on outfits right now, but to start, I was thinking of selling hooded capes and cloaks! I started some for Halloween, and closer to the holidays, I'll make plush ones with faux fur trim.

Would anyone be interested in something like that? Is it a good idea, or am I teh unoriginalz?

LavenderLemon - If you have questions about ABJD, the best place to go is bjd_wtf at livejournal (http://bjd-wtf.livejournal.com/309.html#cutid1).

Moody Strawberry, your girl is adorable! That nurse outfit in particular kills me. What company/mold is she? ^^

She is a Leira from the company Angell Studio. :)
The nurse outfit is one of my favorites, but I still have to finish the sleeves, make a hat for it, and put a big skull bow on the back of the apron. It'll be awesome!

New one! :D My mum and I just made this tonight. I think it makes him look a bit emo, but it's still cute.
(and I apologize for the manties, mum had taken his pants to make a new pattern from them ><)

Moody Strawberry

that is not emo! I think the emo look is too widespread in the realm of dolls, but I really love your Amel...MMM tan... and his green eyes are so pretty! :)

Oh wow, Vella-chan came! and on White Day; she'll have the same birthday as my Ai. (at least if you follow in my funny tradition of her birthday being the day she arrived! o-o ) She's adorable and you've certainly been busy making things for her! Sooooo cute! My girls are eagerly awaiting their first communication now that they know she has arrived! Congrats and welcome to little Vella! :D

I found some Volks dolls on Ebay though. Still around $300-500 from Hong Kong so like $55-85 shipping. An artist is selling them after doing really cute make up on them.
