My First Baby!!

I just bought my very very first BJD on eBay!! I am so, so, so, so, SO excited! The doll itself emptied my wallet a -lot-, so I'm holding off on expensive wigs, and buying a mohair one for now. it's still uber cute!

The company I bought her from was almost an "off-brand", because I'd never heard of them before, but I figured their quality seemed just as good. They're called Angel of Dream (or AOD) dolls. They're out of Hong Kong, I beleive, but I'm not certain.

She's 44cm tall, so just about the size of a Mini Super Dollfie. I haven't gotten her yet, but I'm all ready a one-woman sweatshop, sewing clothes for her. Plus, I'll make her "birthday" the day she arrives in the mail... which will make Leo a leo! :D

I'm still bugging my mom about getting me a doll (T_T). So far the best doll I've found it about $70 bucks (Well, it's not really a ball-jointed doll. You can't change the eyes or the hair but it can move, it's very pretty. here's the url: http://www.junplanning.co.jp/english/item/jdoll/x100/x100_e.htm) And I found some cute Pullip dolls for $20 bucks, although their heads are huge and you can't move them too much, but they come with cute clothes. But I still want a bjd! (Sorry to complain on you're post! I'm taking the lime light! Take it back >_<)

That dollie is so adorable! And seventy dollars is a steal for it. Lee-Lee (such an adorable petname, by the way) cost me a fair-and-square one-hundred and fifty, then thirty more to ship it from China, and another eleven to ensure she wouldn't have to be bald. *mourns her last paycheck* But it was worth it!

I know you'll find the doll that's perfect for you. Don't settle because something costs less, (read: Pullip dolls with gold-fish-bowl-heads) because you won't really be satisfied. Erm, or, that's just my take on it.

Hey, those Pullip dolls are sort of cute, except I just realized the $20 dollar ones don't bend or anything while the other professional $100 dollar ones do. But "my" doll's better. I'm so into the idea I'm deciding a name for her. I was thinking Chelsea, Len, or Lily...or Lu? Something with an C or L. XD

So I talked my mom and she said I could either save my money or wait 'till christmas (No help, eh? Some mom you are XD) And being the impatient person I was I decided to save...but I tried saving a few days ago gettting an Itunes card and Hello Kitty Pez (aww) and since I just HAVE to get my brother a Wii Nunchuck I can't start this month, which I wish I could to make the process go faster.

No offense, but Pullips freak me out the ubers-much.

They just remind me of those creepy dolls from when I was ten-or-so, growing up in nineteen ninety more-than-five-maybe-less-than-eight-don't-remember, and there were these creepy dolls with heads and faces just like Pullips. They also had huge feet and eyelashes you could sweep a floor with. Anyway, whenever you were near it, it freaking TALKED at you! I don't remember what it was called, but it scared the wits out of me. Just one of the horrors of the Furby generation.

Maybe that's why I don't like Pullip dolls...

xD Furby....I still have my little furby. I'm totally afraid of it but I love it to much to let go of it. So he stays in my closet.....

The pullip doll's eyes seem to get me...they're a litte creepy.
The dolls themselves are cute though...They sorta remind me of the Powerpuff girls :D

What amazes me is that your getting a present for you brother. In my family we only get presents from the parents. Also they don't really care if it's my brithday. Like my last birthday I bought myself a cake and ate it myself while my whole family watched TV. They hardely care about me and even if we live under the same roof we aren't even close since no one's rememder's my birthday or at least say's Happy belated bday!
