XD!!! my downtown had a big harry potter release party for OotP where different stores took on hogsmeade/diagon alley store names.. if they do it again this year I'm forcing my birthday party to go there too haha.
I can't wait to read this book. I finished OotP and HBP before the movie came out [which was great! I want to watch it again!!] so I am ready to finish this series, even though I don't want it to end :D

I'm making my mom take me to a bookstore at midnight to get it, even though we'll be on vacation and I won't know anyone there. Since it's the last book, I made myself a costume...a Death Eater robe... I'm really excited! I'm torn between wanting Harry to die, though, and not wanting him to die.

i am frickin getting it. i wouldn't say i'm overly excited but i am curious as to what is going to happen. the only thing i don't like is the price. yes they've been getting longer and longer with every book but do i honestly have to pay 45$ CDN for a book i'll read in 2 days? >.> i hate how they put hardcover out first... but i hope to get the book covertly. it's not that i wish to obscure the fact that i am a potter-tard(because honestly, i'm 1st gen.(that is i grew up with harry)) but rather, i do not want a fiasco like HBP happening. that whole line of kids got spoiled by a group of a$$hole guys driving by in a car(who screamed "dumbledore dies!"). i don't want that happening to me(ha ha, facebook has a group "I will gladly knuckle up if you wanna drop Deathly Hallows spoilers" i am a part of it. XD). i'm in the midst of reading OotP right now...gotta finish before DH comes out! >.<

so theories anyone? yes? no? who are the people who are going to kick it? what will happen to harry, hermoine and ron? what about voldy? omg!

I read about one person who thought that Voldemort and Harry should both die, because the series is all about sacrifice. Well, as awesome as that would be... I can't imagine the series ending with Harry dead!! Lately I have been worried about the Weasley twins, having recently realized that they are from a family of "blood traitors", openly defying Voldemort in Diagon Alley where several proprietors have been taken from their homes/stores :(

a Weasley will die. Rowling herself said that the family will come under Death-Eater attack because of that pesky blood-traitor status. I'm hoping they whack Percy. he's such a wet-blanketed jerk.
and Harry can't die! I don't think Rowling could bring herself to kill him off. that'd be like killing your own child.

Ron and Hermione are definitely getting together.
the Weasley's fortunes are going to make a 360 and they won't be poor anymore. but, they won't move away from the Burrow, cause it's their ancestral home or whatever.
Harry is "the Heir of Gryffindor". I have some pretty good theories for this, and the other two heirs.

J.K Rowling has never ever done anything predecitable in those books so all us Potter fans will be even more impressed with her than we already are!

I am quite excited and have read HBP just to refresh my memory!

it comes out on the 21st I so want to go to the midnight party but my parents wont let me oh tear!!!!! but I'm going crazy I have nothing to read right now
while on vacation I read some books
these are the books I've read in the past nine days:
twilight: 498 pages- 3 days
new moon the sequel to twilight: 563 pages- 2 days
an asortment of manga books such as
trinity blood volume 3
godchild volume 1
bizenghast volume 2
those took me about a half a day and now I'm with out a good book for the next ...um....6 days...I think ......damn I'll have to go into my emergency vault of books or I'll just read a harry potter book from start to finish in four hours again

The independent bookstore I work at is having a midnight release magic show! (we're half magic shoppe too) It's a really big deal to our shoppe. I'm not in the show this year (I was the finale for Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, appearing suddenly with all the books in an empty box), but I don't get my free copy unless I show up at the show! So, I'll be up at midnight like the rest of you tonight, probably walking around going, "Something from the cart, dearie?" o-o

A month ago my friends and I went to see Harry and the Potters playing at a local community center. That was a blast.

My friend is totally obsessed with Harry Potter but she's not going through the pain and torture of lines and mobs. She's getting hers UPS style. T_T

But I'm not really into Harry Potter and yet it sounds so exciting to know who dies. So I might have to go to through the mob and pain to get it, and when I do, I might be mroe sinister and yell out who dies after I read the last page!

I'm so excited! Im going to the midnight release (Kitsunebaebe, your job sounds way cool) in a costume for the first time ever! I made myself a Death Eater robe based more off the book description (or lack thereof) and I have a creepy harlequin mask that looks kinda like the ones in the movie for 5. I was going to get a more violent mask, but I ran out of time and I already had the harlequin one from a Halloween party a few years ago--it's first incarnation was as a masquer from Phantom of the Opera. Here is my plan...


1) Get to bookstore (nearby B&N) as early as my ride will take me.

2) Put on costume.

3) Scare any small children/greet any fellow Voldy fans

4) Get my copy, then as soon as I have it,

5) Run like mad for the door before anyone can try and read me the last page

6) Read until I finish it

7) Reread, and reread, and then die from lack of sleep/food/water due to obsessive reading.

IT'S OUT TODAY!!!(or...rather...yesterday i think for most of you folks) i can't wait! i didn't preorder and didn't go to the midnight magic opening of chapters/indigo...only because i didn't want some total arsehole attempting to ruin the book for me...FYI stay away from youtube! people have been posting random spoilers of which i no one knows the truth to. so until yeh've read the book i would stay away from any harry potter videos. though someone posted one on a russell peters video(and i quickly covered my eyes) XD

i'm going to the coles in my local mall to pick up me copy as soon as it opens(which is in a couple of hours). i kept having nightmares that people were gonna be waiting to scream out spoilers to me!(i will punch anyone who attempts to do so. and demand they reimburse me) so i must ninja my way in! XD

i just finished my copy about 20 minutes ago! it was so good! >.< i liked the storyline a lot but i won't say anymore! and the ending made me laugh and smile like a freak XD now i have nothing to live for! T.T it took me ten hours to finish lol 9am-6pm!

OK NO ONE PUT ANY SPOILERS UP!!!! IF SO PUT IT IN A DIFFERENT THREAD CALLED HP7 SPOILERS DO NOT READ UNLESS DONE WITH BOOK! ...oh don't worry my bossy-ness will benefit you because if you spoiler this, oh sorry but I will have to kill you ;)

Anyhow, My HP7 story is that I reserved it like the second I could at waldenbooks and then otakon came.... my brain decided to work and it was ANIME VS HARRY POTTER WHO WILL WIN? . After being an anoying geek I surfed on the Otakon forums and noticed people were reserveing it at B&N near the con center. So I was like wOO HOO and reserved it. At Midnight I was watching some movie but then at 1207 I was at store to get it, because I reserved it I got this band that let me get in front and I wait a few minutes then it was my turn, I got the book, hugged it tightly and went home double happy.

I've been reading it as much as I can since, i'm on page...261 and IT IS AMAZING!!! I had (like a baka) read the leaked epilogue AND IT SUCKEd so I was afraid it would all suck but JKR exceeded any expectations I would of had. The book is amazing and I'm reading it now.

Well back to being a geek!

PS oh you all know most if not all of us are going to reread the whole series again once we're done if we're able to.

I'm done! My friend finished it the day it came out, she started reading at midnight and finished around 6 and put a bulletin up on myspace. I finished the morning after the day it came out.

There was a release party at the college bookstore by my house where they had wizard rock bands playing from 6 until midnight! I didn't go because most of my friends thought it sounded like a little kid thing or couldn't go and I didn't want to be there by myself... my dad got it at qfc the day after and he let me read it first.

On another note, who has heard of harry and the potters or other wizard rock bands :? ? harry and the potters played at the huge library downtown in my city and about a thousand people went! I have all their cds :nerd: . I also have a draco and the malfoys cd, and their music is actually a lot better, but I don't like malfoy! :mad: I guess wizard rock bands are really popular in my state for some reason.

Aghhh Harry and the Potters! Awesome, you lucky! Everytime they tour I kind of forget about them and then find out they were in Chicago like a week before I remember >.<* I have only heard the Draco and the Malfoys song off the H&tP christmas album but I liked it best out of all the songs :D
