Anyone play Harvest Moon :) ?

Harvest Moon's a "farming simulation" that's been around since the Super Nintendo days of yore. It's been a favorite of mine ever since! I've fallen in love with a number of its incarnations, most recently Magical Melody. For anyone who's never played it, check it out! It's really cute and a little like Animal Crossing. In Magical Melody you can customize your house (or houses), have lovable livestock, cook all sorts of dishes, and, like the other Harvest Moons, fall in love and get married, haha. You can play as a girl or boy in that one. Oh, I could talk about this game for days...

Oh oh oh!!! I have a copy and had forgotten. We picked it up for our last trip to San Fransisco but i was too obsessed with Pokemon. I need to play it, it looks so cute!

I had the gameboy color one and I really liked playing it, but I never got very far because it had this wierd thing where you couldn't save it and literally had to play constantly or else your crops would all die and you couldn't get anything from your animals for a few days so you'd have to play for hours on end if you wanted to get through the year and have the spirit check on how you did, and I always did badly because I couldn't play for days on end. Its hard to explain how it worked.... I think it might of had a glitch

The new ones look really fun, but for some reason my little sister has first pick on the video games we get and she doesn't like it.

Speaking of cute games, there's that one "Cooking Mama" that has totally piqued my interest. I thought "It looks cute and fun aaaanddd it'll teach me how to cook!" It's for the Nintendo DS, which my brother has, I'm just iffy about shelling out money for it, haha. Maybe if I find it used...? Also, there's one out for the Wii but I have yet to buy one, goshdarn it.

Oh, how I yearn for the adorable and awesome Wii!!!

I love Harvest Moon! I really like the latest installment Rune Factory. Its a great combination of fantasy rpg and harvest moon :)

I'm a big HarvestMoon fan n_n
Been playing since the GB one came out
when I was, like, 10, haha.
Now I get just about any that come out!


I'm a huge fan of visual novels/dating sims/eroge/ect.
So getting to play a mix of a dating sim
and strategy game is great!
All the different characters were sooooo much fun n_____n

In the new DS version my favorite was the mermaid <33
Because she was just too adorable!
Don't have the Wii version yet.. it looks painful >w<


My favorite is still the GBA one ♥

Harvest Moon Rune Factory has got me curious indeed... I think my brother wants to get it, what with his being all into the action. Hahaa I watched a gameplay video on youtube and saw these... giant chicken-like things that lay equally large eggs. Wahh! And I couldn't help but laugh when you have to go into a dark cave, fight monsters.... and then tend to the crops.

Heard the game is wildly popular in Japan. I bet... quite different from the other versions.

But anyway, the dating aspect of HM is definitely something I love<3 The slightly tomboyish and endearing character Ann who appears in several different HMs is one of my favorites.

I'm all about the Chibi-Robo. There's something about running around a house cleaning up people's footprints with a toothbrush that really pulls my heart-strings!!! ;)

I like Harvest moon! I borrowed the first version for gamecube, from a friend, and played for awhile, then got the gameboy game (which isn't nearly as fun), and later bought the version where you can be a girl! The thing with me was I was REALLY obsessed with it for awhile, like for a month i would come home off the bus, and play Harvest moon, then after awhile it got boring, and it does get boring after a month or so.

Its really alot of fun, I love all the animal monsters like the chicken and cow ones. They're too funny! The whole game has got alot of weird rpg quirks in it. I love it!
