summer blanket project

for some reason, i've taken to making blankets so far this summer. why, i don't know...doesn't make sense with the heat!

i just made this simple fleece blanket the other night. i couldn't pass up the cute fleece for so cheap. i just added silky blanket binding all the way around(it's folded so i could get a decent photo).

i also crochet, and this is the first afghan i have attempted. the pattern is fairly simple, and what you can't see in the photo is how cool the pattern actually is. there are raised lines of stitches, and the end product will have a scalloped edge. the pattern is sort of made up but sort of from an old afghan i saw. this is definitely something that will turn into an autumn blanket project because it's going to take me awhile!
