Craft challenge!!! August (Pg 3)

I thought it might be fun to launch a craft challenge just for fun! Every month a theme, and then people craft their hearts out on that theme and share the photos!

You can use what ever techniques you want, crochet, sewing, clay what ever. On the 1st of every month a new theme!

aw i love this idea. i just picked up some really pretty cherry blossom fabric, so i suppose this is a good time to get started on something with it.

i also just made a pressed flower/four leaf clover book mark i will have to post.

ok I made a red daisy entirely out of duct tape but I have know way of getting it n my computor I think I'll make a new one but not tomorrow because tomorrow I have to go around asking for birthday hugs! BIRTHDAY HUGS!!!!!! THE BEST HUGS OF ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
um can someone tell me some summer flowers so I can look them up and make ones out of duct tape

this is a bookmark i made, it's nothing fancy or special. a friend of mine is really, really good at finding four leaf clovers, and we couldn't figure out what to do with them all, so she started making bookmarks out of them. included with the 4 leaf clover are 2 three leaf clovers that i thought were neat, and pressed wild violets. oh, and it's sitting on my pretty fabric that i don't know what to do with. :)

I haven't decided what to fasten it to yet, a hairpin, brooch, comb maybe?

that looks really awesome viv. and it looks pretty easy to make. seed beads are really fun to work with, i like them a lot. if there's a way, maybe it can be used interchangeably as a pin and something to wear in your hair. it would look awesome pinned onto a bag of some sort.

That's really cute! Simple, but cute. I really like it! Plus, that strawberry looks yummy.

I made this for a 4-H project. It really has no theme relating to July.. but since it is the biggest project I have worked on in awhile, I thought I would show it off here. By the way, this is the FIRST many-flowered kanzashi I have ever made.

It is in the pot just for display. It is supposed to be a hair-stick. And, the "petal falls" are all a different length, which is kinda hard to see in the pic. My favorite part of the piece is the butterfly at the top.. :)

It sounds real interesting, so I'm gonna wait until August 1 because I gots to do a poster for the vacation bible camp my mom is helping me with. Ah, the pain of it all. And it's due in less than 2 days. At least I got free markers! :)

When I think August, I think of kites, and fireworks, and fish-shaped windsocks. I think some great, open-ended themes would be:

[x] "Summer Picnic"

But I also think of leaves and the warm breeze of the fall wind. That beats school for sure. The "In the Park" idea sounds great!
But maybe we can do something with autumn leaves?

Fruits are so cute for some reason. Cherries, strawberries, and blueberries especially, I think. Raspberries too. Now, pineapples... haha I don't know if I've ever seen anything with a pineapple motif. Huh. But something like pineapple earrings might be cool, definitely something different.

november is almost over but December is coming up. when I think of December, I think of snow. I don't get to see snow much so when I do..I remember it. But, a winter or Christmas theme might be a little cliche.....still... I got a cute idea with the snow thing...

I would be interested in participating in up coming challenges if they are held again. Snow is cute but I think it might be over done. Although . . . . snowflakes are a good excuse to break out lace.
