Hey,
I am so happy to find this forum..although I am having one problem and I'm not sure of the cause. For some reason the scrolling through messages is very slow and jerky for me...I have DSL, a Mac of recent vintage, and I've never experienced this on other forums. Is there something I can do personally to correct this?
i want to read EVERYTHING but it's difficult due to the jerking motion taxes my eyes and patience. I don't know if it's just me.. I don't know enough to know why this is happening..
anyway I am so happy to find this place, Thank you Viv! I don't want to be a bummer because I love how it looks...it's just weird that I can't scroll smoothly...
Oh yeah, I'm from the immortalgeisha forums...i joined a month or 2 before they were closed *snif*

I'm not too sure what I can suggest? Now you mentioned it I noticed it a little, but not too bad. I'm not sure there is anything much we can do about it. i'll ask Dusty though and see if he knows?

this happens to me sometimes, usually when im replying though. sometimes it helps if i exit my browser and open it all up again.

scrolling using the bar thingy is quite jolty for me too, but I use the mouse wheel thing and since that jolts normally i dont really notice anything that disturbing....
...just my 2 cents!

Sorry I posted in the wrong forum...I wasn't sure where...
I don't have one of those scroll wheels, I have a Mac.
I'm wondering if it has to do with all the lovely decorations? Don't get me I love the way it looks, but I'm, wondering if a plain background might load faster? I could be totally wrong though.
I'm just so excited about this forum, but it takes me so long to get through one thread I get frustrated.
Thanks for the response! :)

awww you are sooo sweet :) I'm sure something can be sorted.
What browser do you use?
If you click on the blue bar thing and use that i find it's smoother, like a shaved peach.

i think it may just be from the color set up- when you scroll down it looks like the screen is jumpy because of the brown breaking up the flow of the posts. i haven't had any problems- i have dsl and a new emachines 'puter.

Your'e a genius, midgetgem!
I was using Firefox...I switched to IE and it is improved. Still a little jerky compared to other forums, but definitely do-able.
I guess I'll just have to use my boyfriends browser...euh... :D
