Anyone have any recipies for good low calorie foods? I start a diet today, but I'm still a little bit sad to give up such delicious food.

My favorite healthy snack food is roasted pumpkin seeds. They have twice as much protein as calories, and the fats they contain are the kind you WANT...high in fiber, too. I'm crazy about this garlic herb kind that I get at Pharmaca. Soooo good.
I also like curry cashews, but I've only seen them at store in my area called the Vitamin Cottage. I'm sure they're easy to make yourself, though.

well I honestly don't know if it is low calorie, but this Japanese bakery I know [if anyone lives in Chicago, I mean the Hippo House in Mitsuwa] makes fruit/dessert sandwiches.. all they do is have two pieces of bread, spread whip cream on the ends, then take diced fruits [strawberry, kiwi, canned peach and canned pear] and put them in the middle. It's really yummy as a dessert, and I don't know how many calories whip cream would have but fruits must be good for you :D

A good low-cal food? Hm.
Salsa is very tastey, and is essentally little more than a pile of mushed-up vegetables. The trouble is finding healthy things to eat it with - chips are bad! I use it with grilled chicken rolled up in a wheat wrap or spinach wrap - you can add things like lettuce and tomates and peppers too; but cheese will add lots of fat, so don't add cheese.
I second roasted pumpkin seeds, they're good and good for you. However...^_^; I ususally add salt because they don't taste very good plain, so there's a good bit of sodium.
