Does anybody remember The Goonies movie? I was watching it on dvd the other day, and it took me back to the good 'ol days of adventure and mischief. I also loved Chunk's Truffle Shuffle and the part where he yells, "I smell ICE CREAM!!" Oh, and the part where that yuppy guy was ejected from the toilet seat and yelled, "DADDYYYYYYY!!!!"

Not to mention it kinda makes me envious how beautiful and serene of a town Astoria seems (the Goonies setting). Was that also the same town where Kindergaten Cop was filmed?

Oh my god I love that film!!! I was so happy when the DVD had the mysterious Octopus scene in it.

I remember how at the end I think it was Mouth was going on about this octopus, and every one was sat watching the film wondering what the hell he was on about .

To finally see the scene they cut so badly made my life complete!

Hehe. It was a goofy scene, but it definately made stuff make sense. I actually saw it when I was little; I remember thinking it was scary. :o

What's really nifty is that the original cut of the movie was about six hours long. The missing scenes (aside from the octopus one) involved other mini obstacles, including one where they stumbled upon a mini habitat for gorillas. They explained that One-Eyed Willy and his crewmates imported some and left them in a sanctuary they built so that they can guard the treasure. My roommate's friend managed to get a hold of a copy a while back.
